robust and yet refined

For a close business contact, we added an office to the old pallet factory.  Between the production hall and the access road, there was still a piece of unused land. The contours of this strip determined the shape of the annex.  For a small programme of requirements, we designed a tailor-made “wooden crate”. In addition to pallets, the company makes special crates for such things as transporting machines safely.
The window openings were created irregularly in the volume and finished with aluminium frames as a touch of refinement. These were supplied by one of the client’s other companies.
The tension between robust and refined is the quality of this design. The entrepreneur was happy that the materials that are part of his business were applied so creatively.
