the temptation of an attractive plan

For the Municipality of Roermond, we tried to use an interesting concept plan to tempt Zuyd College of Higher Education to relocate to the centre of Roermond.  

In our plan, the entire building site on the river De Roer would be built up, as if it were a city block in the fabric of the historic centre. Large covered courtyards and atria would be meeting places for students, and also allow interaction with urban life. Along the Roer, we proposed a lawn as a place to stroll, which connected to a tour through the city. 

Zuyd College of Higher Education was highly tempted to come to Roermond but it was decided in higher political circles that the college would remain in Sittard.
