a restaurant rises above the water.

Aqua Terra, the owner of the Maasplassen in Limburg, needed a centre built at the Boschmolenplas in Heel, where there are about three hundred holiday homes. On a small tongue of land between two lakes near a marina, we created a restaurant with facilities that rises above the water. It is a plastic sculpture, clad in copper, with two connecting routes running under it. We wanted this relatively small building to stand out sufficiently in the expanse of the Maasplassen. The building has become an icon for the surrounding residents and water tourists. It’s not just the owners of the holiday villas who enjoy it, but guests from the entire region.
