Funeral home and crematorium Peusen

2006, Echt

brick-built country house and the serene annex was very successful

A few years ago, we converted an existing nineteen-thirties country house into a funeral home. In order to do this, all the annexes that had been added over the years were demolished, to be replaced with a single new building constructed from natural stone. The contrast between the romantic, brick-built country house and the serene annex was very successful.

Our client now faces a new challenge: adding a crematorium to the funeral home. Within the idiom of the last extension, we are expanding the complex by increasing the natural stone volume. To do this, an existing farm building on the site will be demolished.

On its prominent site on the A2 motorway near Echt, there will now be a complete funeral company that is  elegantly designed in terms of architectural expression.
