An exciting dream house in which inside and outside blend into each other.

Henk and Marlies Verheesen and their two young children lived in a traditional villa. When building lots were put for sale opposite their home, they decided to build their new dream house. But modern this time. For this enormous change in living style, Engelman Architecten designed three versions, from ‘moderate’ to ‘extremely’ modern. The extreme version, with an innovative floor plan appealed to them straight away. Via zoning at the front of the building, the living functions are grouped around a patio, with long sightlines from the inside to the outside, linked to the living functions, and with a lot of fine details. The owners themselves continued this aspect of the design in the layout of the house and garden.
